BERNINA Embroidery Software allows you to create cutwork and stumpwork designs for use with the BERNINA CutWork tool. Both cutwork and stumpwork designs are created with a common set of tools. Openwork or ‘cutwork’ involves cutting away portions of a backing fabric and binding the edges with embroidery stitching. Stumpwork can be made from cutwork pieces which are sewn onto the base design, usually with the addition of a wireline for extra stiffening.
