As a beginner, you will generally use designs that fit entirely within the available hoops for your particular machine. You will mostly use default settings both in the software and the machine. The hoop center becomes the reference point for all designs you do in this manner. This technique provides the basis for all other techniques you will use.
1Insert or open a design.
The hoop automatically centers around design extents, as it does on BERNINA machines.
Using the hoop template instead of the grid, you can ensure that the hoop center always aligns with the hoop template grid as the hoop centers around the design.
2Optionally, adjust the design size or change hoops to suit the design.
3Print a design worksheet. The worksheet can include the hoop position marker.
4Send the design to machine. The design is automatically centered on the BERNINA machine.
5Fix the design worksheet to the fabric.
6Hoop the fabric. Align the worksheet hoop position marker with the hoop template centerlines.
7Start the machine. The needle will move to the hoop center.
8Stitch out the design.
