Use General > Insert Embroidery to import embroidery design files into the current design. |
BERNINA V9 lets you insert one design into another. The two (or more) designs can then be saved as a combined design. When you insert a design in another, the two color palettes are combined. Colors with the same RGB values are automatically identified as having the same thread color. If you want to preserve these as separate colors, you need to change one or other before merging.
Open the base design. When you first open a design in BERNINA V9, it is grouped by default.
Click Insert Embroidery. The Insert Embroidery dialog opens.
Find the design file you want to use and click Open. The design is placed at the end of the stitching sequence. It too is grouped by default.
Resequence objects in the combined designs as necessary, ensuring that details stitch out last.
Size the inserted design as required.
Move to the required position.
Remove any underlying stitching as necessary.
Save the combined designs under the original or new name.
