Stitch out embroidery on garments

Sometimes, you want to stitch out at specific locations for garments, caps and other wearables. For example, take the case where you want to stitch a monogram design at the top of a shirt pocket. Use this with machines that allow you to maintain start and end connectors.

To stitch out embroidery on a garment...

1Open a blank design.

2Set the start and end points to center-top. This helps when placing a monogram on a shirt pocket.

3Turn off Maintain Automatically so start and end is always fixed to this point in the hoop.

4Using the Lettering toolbox, create a lettering or monogram design. Notice that the hoop center moves to the top center of the lettering.

5Optionally, include a background for the garment you are using.

6Optionally print the design worksheet. The worksheet shows the hoop position marker on the design at the location on-screen.

7Send the design to machine. The design is positioned in the same location as shown on screen as uses the start and end connectors to locate the design from the center of the hoop.

8Hoop the garment using the hoop template vertical centerline to locate the center of the pocket and place the horizontal centerline 10mm down from the top of the pocket.

9Stitch out the design. The machine will start the design at the hoop center.
