Stitch types divide broadly into two categories – ‘outline’ and ‘fill’. Outlines are used, as the name suggests, for outlines or borders of shapes and for details.
Fill stitches are used to cover large areas or ‘color blocks’ in a design. Outline and fill stitches are generated whenever you create embroidery shapes, but they can be changed at any time. BERNINA V9 provides a variety of digitizing methods or ‘tools’ for creating embroidery objects. These tools are used in conjunction with stitch types to create embroidery ‘objects’.
