The Mirror-Merge tools allow you to duplicate and transform selected embroidery objects in vertical and horizontal planes. Colors can be automatically resequenced during the mirror-merge operation. Optionally, overlapping objects can be merged in to a single object.
1Open or create the design you want to mirror.
2Before mirror-merging a selection, you need to decide whether color blocks should be merged:
If you want selected objects to stitch out in separate hoopings, make sure they are grouped first.
Alternatively, leave them ungrouped and they will be color-optimized for a single stitchout – i.e. color-block by color-block.
3Select the object/s.
4Select a Mirror-Merge tool – horizontal, vertical, or both. The technique is essentially the same.
5Move the reference line to position mirrored objects.
6Click to place the mirror image.
If the selection is ungrouped, mirrored objects are resequenced into consecutive color blocks.
If the selection is grouped, mirrored objects are also grouped for separate stitchout.
If a mirrored object overlaps the original in an ungrouped selection, you are prompted to merge objects.
Sometimes you may be working with designs that are too large to accommodate within a normal hoop. With the Multi-Hooping toolbox, you can place multiple hoopings around an entire work area.
